Bachelor of Psychological Science - Newcastle
Universities: Posted 14-9-17 Deadline - No Deadline
Psychology at UON has had a name change. The Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) is no longer open to new students, and instead, from 2018 new students will be able to apply for entry to a Bachelor of Psychological Science. The reason for this change is to ensure that our future students understand their study options and to bring UON in line with other psychology degrees available around the country. Students will now apply to gain entry into the Bachelor of Psychological Science, a 3-year degree available at both the Callaghan and Ourimbah campuses. After successfully completing the 3-year undergraduate degree, students will have the option of graduating and entering the workforce or applying to study Honours (requires a GPA of 5 or above). Again, after successfully completing the Honours year (and with a GPA of 6 or above), students have the option to graduate or can go on to do further specialist study at a Masters level (required for careers such as a Clinical Psychologist). Below is an example of the structure and the points at which students can graduate. The Bachelor of Psychological Science provides students a variety of career opportunities across many industries. Below are some examples of career opportunities for each level of study within the area of psychology.

Student Life and university
Universities: Posted 16-8-17 Deadline - No Deadline
Choosing what to study and where to study is really just the tip of the iceberg. Once you've finally made the big decision and turned up for your first day, student life is everything that follows. Your time as a student is a whole lot more than just showing up to class and displaying a diploma on your wall. Rather, it's about the complete picture and what you get out of your experience, including minor ups and downs and the general challenges that come with taking time out to complete post-compulsory education.
