The Bachelor of Economics Bachelor of Laws (BEcon/LLB) and the Bachelor of Forensic Science Bachelor of Laws (BForSc/LLB) are specialist degrees, designed to enhance legal and professional skills. The Bachelor of Economics Bachelor of Laws will provide students with requisite legal knowledge, as well as the quantitative skills required for a thorough understanding of key economic principles. The career options available will include, but are not limited to, a lawyer or adviser specialising in economics analysis, as well as a number of diverse roles in government and financial institutions. The Bachelor of Forensic Science Bachelor of Laws degree marries the complex albeit complimentary fields of forensic science and the law, imbuing students with an in-depth understanding of the legal system and how forensic science can solve and prevent crime. Upon completion, students will be able to pursue careers as lawyers specialising in the cross-examination of expert witnesses and the analysis of forensic reports. Opportunities for employment will exist within the police service, state and federal law enforcement agencies, customs, quarantine services and more. Both the BEcon/LLB and BForSc/LLB are 5-years full-time in duration.
