Advice Sheets at the BBQ: low ATAR options
Universities: Posted 18-12-14 Deadline - No Deadline
If you, or someone you know, received a lower than hoped for ATAR but still want to go to university, there are many many pathways and options depending on what you want to do and where you want to go. I have put them together and will have the sheets available for you to take and give a friend who cannot be there.

Can't make the BBQ but need advice or info?
General: Posted 18-12-14 Deadline - No Deadline
I will make sure the Advice Sheets will be available in the Front Office until 3pm on Friday. If you want to call in later during the day, get a copy or come and see me please. Also Mrs Molony will have a copy if you need it after Friday.

Advice after Friday....
Universities: Posted 17-12-14 Deadline - No Deadline
I will not be available to reply to emails or phone messages from Friday 20th December as I will be overseas. Please contact me before then (see other Alert messages) or else ring the university or UAC directly or the hotlines set up for Year 12s.

Uni questions?????????????????
Universities: Posted 17-12-14 Deadline - No Deadline
Once you get your ATAR, if you have questions about what to do next or how to get into the course or career you want to do, please see me at the BBQ on Friday or call up to the school or email me on Thursday or Friday. I will have a list of options and pathways for students who receive lower than hoped for ATARs.

HSC results available and now for the ATAR
HSC: Posted 17-12-14 Deadline - No Deadline
HSC results were available this morning. The first lot of waiting is now over. Are you pleased? Surprised? Disappointed? Now the wait for the ATAR begins with them being available from 9am Thursday morning. Remember that these are based not on the HSC marks you received today but the SCALED HSC marks. An ATAR is only relevant if you are applying to university. Also you may be eligible for regional or EAS or subject bonus points to boost your selection rank into courses in the Main Round of offers in January.

HSC results, reactions and where to from here?
HSC: Posted 15-12-14 Deadline - No Deadline
Now the wait it almost over, consider your reactions and what you do next. Some will be happy and pleased with their ATAR. Others will be very very disappointed. The best advice I can give you is to work out what you really want to do and find the way to get there. There are many options and pathways that I have information on and about but I can only help if you or a parent contacts me on Thursday or Friday or sees me at the BBQ to make a time to talk. Please remember this and let others know, especially anyone you know who is very upset with their results. There is always a solution to a problem or a Plan B.
