Uni of Wollongong early entry - VERY IMPORTANT
Early Entry schemes: Posted 16-10-13 Deadline - No Deadline
I have been contacted by UOW and sent this to be given to Year 12 students: Any student who has not received their outcome by email is to contact us on 1300 367 869. Our staff are able to verbally confirm that they have been successful in their application to at least one course at UOW through EA. I would like to correct a number of misunderstandings that are in social media circulation about problems with offers, by emphasising that Not all applicants have been affected No applicant who was unsuccessful in applying for admission through EA was erroneously made an offer to UOW. All applicants who received an offer through EA for UOW still hold at least one valid offer to UOW, even if it is was not their first preference course. UOW’s Early Entry scheme is not conditional on receiving a published ATAR for the course. The only requirement to formalise the offer is for the applicant to have the course we have offered as their first preference by Tuesday 3 December to enable our offer to be formally issued through UAC in the early round of offers which are made on Wednesday 5 December. Those applicants through EA who were not successful in receiving any EA offer are still eligible to receive an offer from UOW through UAC in the main round in January 2014, provided their ATAR meets course entry requirements

Alongside gaining beneficial work experience, students will be able to get together with fellow Australians and experience everything the amazing destination has to offer. B. Nursing & Midwifery - New Mater QTAC Codes for 2014 applications. New for all 2014 applications: students will be able to nominate the Mater clinical school using a separate QTAC code. The School of Nursing and Midwifery at UQ is unique in offering intensive learning through clinical schools. UQ nursing and midwifery students undertake the bulk of their learning at a clinical school and attend lectures one day a week on campus at UQ. Depending on which program students nominate, students attend lectures either at the Translational Research Institute (TRI) located on the grounds of the PA Hospital, or UQ Ipswich campus. As always, when students nominate preferences for UQ nursing and midwifery through QTAC, they nominate a preference for a clinical school. For 2014 QTAC applications, students will be able to nominate the Mater using a separate QTAC code. If students choose to nominate the Mater as their first preference clinical school, they will also have the option to nominate an existing UQ clinical school for their second preference and vice versa.
