Why you SHOULD do the Red Shield Appeal on Sunday.
General: Posted 23-5-13 Deadline - No Deadline
You can help other people in less fortunate situations in Australia. You can see it as a form of service which is part of our school motto and ethos. You can get a warm fuzzy glow from doing something good for someone else. You can think ahead to apply for jobs so you can put this on your resume as Community Activities along with being a blood donor, marching on Anzac Day and being a member of Vinnies. Or you can look ahead to applying for scholarships and college accommodations. Most of the applications will ask for a list of your community involvement. If you have done nothing, then there will be a big blank space on your application. This is a chance that will give you something to write it and two hours is not a lot to have to give up. Please see Mrs Sommerlad on Friday to give her your name and participate. And feel good about it.
