Southern Cross University Main Round Scholarships

Linkz Long Term Remote Volunteering Program

Linkz and the Central Australian Youth Link Up Service are looking for people to volunteer in remote aboriginal communities. Volunteers would assist in the running of a local computer and internet room in the community, as well as provide support to the Youth Program. Volunteers will be expected to work ‘full time’ and work with the Youth Program outside of school hours and during events. All costs for volunteers will be covered, including flights, transport and accommodation, as well as a $200/week stipend to cover the cost of food. Students will produce 2 – 3 video stories within different genres as part of the program. Students are expected to have a basic understanding of journalism and a keen interest for the field.

The questionnaire will be evaluated based on their motivation, interest in engineering and affinity for the engineering discipline. HSC survey opens for students to have their say

The annual HSC student survey opened on Students Online at the conclusion of this year’s exams. The survey gives students a chance to provide feedback to the Board about their HSC courses and exams. Students who complete the survey will have a chance to win a pair of bud earphones.
To complete the survey, students need to log in to their My Details section on Students Online and click on the ‘HSC survey’ link in the yellow navigation bar at the top of the page. The survey will be available until 14 December 2012. Participation in the survey is voluntary, and individual responses will be kept confidential. Results of the survey will be published next year.

Thu 3rd & 17th Jan at Newcastle, Central Coast & Port Macquarie Campuses The First Advisory Day is for students who have questions about the ATAR they have received and the degrees they’re interested in. It is also useful to attend this Advisory Day if students are thinking about changing their preferences, possibly because they received a higher or lower ATAR than they were expecting. The Second Advisory Day is for students who didn’t get the university offer they wanted in the main round. Students can get advice about what they should do with their preferences in the remaining application rounds.
